It needs more inner game (kill needyness, feel yourself atractive, etc), female logic (bitch shields, rationalization, preselection) and confort (a bit of conversation examples, deep connection specially). And the Handbook is for nightgame specially (female to male interest in daygame? why would a girl in the street qualify herself? He doesnt explain that). If you have inner game, understand the female logic, can create a deep connection and know how to initiate the interaction until the girl qualifies herself in daygame, this book is for you. From kino, over test, foreplay, dating locations and beyond this book says everything. I would add some videoexamples for youtube but this book is really worth it.

Excellent audio and very instructive!

I listened to the audio version on Audible so I missed the visuals. But Dr. Polk's descriptions were super helpful in understanding the roles of different parts of the brain. I'm new to the subject of neurology. According to Wiki the brain has hundreds of components but this audio book gave me an introductory grasp of the nucleus accumbens, VTA, and prefrontal cortex (not to mention dopamine and cortisol). Polk speaks clearly, intelligently, not too fast, and with empathy for the vexing problem of addiction. Highly recommended for learning. One struggling with addiction needs, as Polk suggests, treatment, groups, therapy, etc. No magic cures here but an informed brain is a good thing to have.

The Addictive Brain is an audio course about how addiction works, how it affects the brain chemistry (and why addiction occurs) and (to a lesser extent) how addicts can break their dependency. I picked it up as a "daily deal" for $2, and it was a good deal.

The lecturer, Professor Polk, speaks at a slow pace, so I sped up the course by accelerating his speech to 1.25 times normal. I can tell you there were several professors at the Cal I wish I could have done that to! Nevertheless, the material is great. He goes into the neurochemistry of the brain in order to give you an idea of how the brain works, and then walks you through each drug to analyze which receptors the drug binds to in the brain, and how and why it has the effect it does, as well as how and why it has the effect it does. As he does so, he frequently provides a history of the drug as used in human society, as well as the process by which it became isolated, refined, used, and then (almost invariably) abused.

The drugs covered are:

Alcohol
Caffeine
Nicotine
Cocaine
Amphetamine (and meta-Amphetamine)
Marijuana
Morphine (& Opiates)
Gambling, Porn, and Video Games
Of course, the last 3 aren't drugs, but of course, can also be abused and result in addiction. I'm surprised TV watching and internet addiction isn't on the list, as I'm sure you and I can think of people who exhibit withdrawal symptoms when either of those aren't available.

Fundamentally, addiction is an unintended consequence of our brain's ability to learn. You can call it a bug o a security hole if you like. Addictive substances (and behaviors) create a feedback loop which makes use of the dopamine feedback loop to trigger "this was better than expected!" learning. This leads to an unconstrained craving simultaneous with a reduction of the inhibition circuits in the brain. Each drug potentially triggers this in a different way, but your vulnerability to addiction is also highly genetic.

Each section also discusses ways for the addict to break his or her addiction. It's by no means easy and the success rate is dismaying low (none of the drugs appear to have a surefire way to achieve better than 40% quit rates!), but Professor Polk speaks with compassion about how the process works.

All in all, I learned quite a bit in this audio course, and can recommend it.

Unfortunately, this aspect of lin­ ear methods seems to have been less well appreciated, and most workers are content to use the latter as efficient computational schemes. The present book is intended to give a reasonably complete description of one particular linear method, the Linear Muffin-Tin Orbital (LMTO) method, without losing sight of the physical content of the technique. It is also meant as a guide to the non-specialist who wants to perform band-structure calculations of his own, for example, to interpret experimental results. For this purpose the book contains a set of computer programmes which allow the user to perform full-scale self-consistent band-structure calculations by means of the LMTO method. In addition, it contains a listing of self-con­ sistent potential parameters which, for instance, may be used to generate the energy bands of metallic elements.

very interesting and helpful book wich descibes one of the most useful methods, the Linear Muffin Tin method, for calculating the physical propeties of solids(metals , semiconductors): bulks and slabs. The use the LMTO method allows the investigation of surfaces and interfaces states.

The best text book on electronics I know of

I'm a student of electronics in the open university, Israel.

As the standard text book for my course I got a translation of Sedra & Smith "Microelectronic Circuits".
For me, a newbie in the area of electronics (but with solid background in electricity) it was one of the worst written books I ever read.

Concepts such as input & output impedances were never fully explained and the transistors chapter was a nightmare to read due to inconsistent depth levels.

For some time I searched the web for clear explanations and found bits and pieces but not a clear and rigorous treatment of the subject.

Until I stumbled on this pearl of a book.

Everything is clearly explained and the chapters are logically ordered (e.g., op-amps are delayed until AFTER transistor theory is explained and practiced).

If you really want to have a deep understanding of the subject - do yourself a favor and buy this book.

I have the sixth edition of this book,and i think that althought is not the best book of the world is quite good book.You must learn about basic electricity first, a book like "basic electricity" by Nooger Van Valkenburgh is a very good one.You must know the Ohm law,Kirchhoff laws,simplify pasive circuits ( serie circuits,parallel circuits and complex circuits,what is a capacitor a inductance, thevenin's theorem and other things like that) The content of the book is based on the semiconductor components.The book explains what a diode is,how it works,the reason of his function,his characteristics,and many application circuits (How to convert ac current to dccurrent, how to change the level of dc voltage of a wave,etc);the book also explains what a transistor is and his apllications(amplifiers, an element for do digital circuits and the base of electronics),the book tells you how to polarizate a transistor,how amplifies and his models,and many circuits.Finally the book tells you what an operational amplifier is,power amplifiers,oscillator circuits(a circuit that converts dc current to ac current) and other control power dispositives. The book also have many problems,some illustrations,and a basic course of PSpice( a program for simulate electronic circuits).
