About the Author

Farewell, Captain Harden and thanks for the adventure!

Is this really farewell to Captain Lee Harden?? I have enjoyed the whole series and hate to say good-bye. One of the greatest thing about these books is the fast pace of the story. When I start reading I just have to keep going along with the relentless pace of the story. No conclusion to a series will please everyone, but It felt fitting to me. I would love to see another novel (or two) about how the United States might come back together after this. Would Briggs ever give up his control and rejoin the southeastern group??? Will some type of communication between the factions be developed?? Maybe D J Molles will give us more. I would look forward to it, but thanks for the great story and the character of Captain Harden!

Leaves You Wanting a Better Ending

I'm a huge fan of this series, but this final chapter seemed to be rushed and has no solid conclusion. The "pregnant zombie" angle fizzled out a couple of books ago and I've been waiting to see where that once interesting storyline would go, and the whole Lee and Angela relationship ended up being SUPER disappointing. I was hoping for more of a current and future update to this whole series. Something to tie everything up nicely. And where's the Staley family reunion? Not what I'd hoped for :(

I have been reading the series for several years and am glad it is over (not fan of the never-ending series). DJ Molles writing style is good and better than most of the amateur authors out there (though I think he is beyond that title now). I also think that Mr. Molles realized the most "exciting" part of a post apoc is the first 6-months as characters transition from modern life to 1800's style life with zombies...after 6-months it is simply brutal, day to day living...so I am glad he closed this one out. If he had pursued it, it would have transitioned into a series on how the east coast reunites the US with a zombie apocalypse as a side note.

The main part about this book is that because the series was strung out over 3+ years it was difficult to recall who was who. For example Father Jim, I know he was in an earlier book, I know Laroux killed him and he is referenced in this book - and I don't recall much about him. Abe is in there too along with Tomlin...I know they are Army guys...but difficult to recall who they were.
@ DJ Molles - having a website or couple page roll-up of Who's who would help.

There are lots of loose ends as the book ends, but I am ok with that. To tie then all up would take several more books. The major points were closed out and anything remaining was minor.

Overall, good end to the series.

eating as a diabetic

My first purchase ever from amazon was the carbs and cals book. what is great about it is the fact that the information includes pictures of all the foods , so you can see the amounts they are referring to. As a carb-counting diabetic, this is an amazing help in trying to be more exact.
As the book is from the UK, there are some food products that i don't need and there are some basic foods missing, but on the whole the book is awesome.
I also want to say that the book arrived really quickly from amazon and that was also the best.

Love this book, if you are counting carb's or cal's it's perfect for you, you get to see the portion size together with the carb's and cal's. The only problem is I got the UK edition, I need to get the American edition also.

Please don't let the worst editing job ever scare you away from this book!

This is a gripping continuation of the Belgariad story. I have read this book in print more times than I can actually remember. The horrible and worse - repetitive - editing errors in this ebook are shameful and not present in the print version. Amazon please locate all gazillion instances of the word "Throe" and rightfully replace it with "thine ". Then spellcheck at least 2 or 3 more times. The print version also ends further along than this abruptly ended e-version.

I hope that it doesn't have to end. These books are some of the best I have read in so long that I can re-read them anytime I feel the urge, and believe me, I read them over and over again. David Eddings is such a great writer that I would like to see him continue writing for a long time.

I had my doubts that this book would be useful to me, the average (but highly curious) person. Still, I bought it regardless, because I like to try my hand at engaging new concepts and challenging myself. What I found when I opened this book and began reading was something above and beyond my expectations. It was easy to understand, useful, and most importantly, both illuminating and practical, even for someone like myself with no academic background.

It cleanly describes the logical processes inherent in every thought we have, alongside diagrams depicting the cycles that a thought goes through from start to conclusion. It even providing examples and simple challenges meant to help you deepen your understanding of and ability to use the concepts therein. The intent of the book is to make the reader cognizant of these processes and patterns that all of us go through when thinking and choosing to act, with the hope that it will provide us with the ability to refine the processes, make them clearer and more coherent, and to take control of our thoughts to our own benefit. This book, and all of the others like it that I own, are simply fantastic, and even if you've no intention to use them in an academic setting, they're still intensely useful for every day life and personal self-development.
