He became a three-time small business owner/operator, soloed at Lincoln Park, New Jersey, N07, and became a private pilot by age 25.

Moving to Deerfield Beach, Florida, Joey Jet continued learning to fly at Pompano Beach Airpark's Pompano Air Center, earning his commercial airplane license and becoming a certified flight instructor under the tutelage of R. Dan Baker. Joey learned to fly Learjets when he was hired by Harvey N. Hop at Fort Lauderdale's Hop-A-Jet, Inc.

Joey Jet has been a Learjet captain, flying the rich and famous throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean for more than 25 years. Calling all romance book readers that like billionaire and millionaires books and airplanes aficionado you will love book too.Well written book spaced apart paragraphs I love that read book faster that way.This pilot knows what he is doing. Love reading about flight and technicalities that goes with it.And all the legions he flown for. Love to see another book by author he's a good story teller.Congrats on book Chris Or Pamela. Amazon had to look hard to find this fine book.To Give the author more noteworthy put this book between Coffee Tea Or Me and Jet set readers won't have to search hard to find this fine book.

As with the best jazz musicians, many of these individuals work with live audiences and without a safety net.

Those portrayed include nightclub owners Barney Josephson, Bradley Cunningham, and Max Gordon; comedians Jackie Mason and Bob and Ray; painter Jon Schueler; entrepreneur, writer, and director Julius Monk; and Lola Szladits, who oversees the Berg Collection at the New York Public Library.

Whitney Balliett wrote for the New Yorker for fifty years and was the jazz critic there for over forty years. He is the author of many books, including American Musicians II: Seventy-one Portraits in Jazz, American Singers: Twenty-seven Portraits in Song, and Collected Works: A Journal of Jazz, 1954-2001. He received an award for excellence in literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and three of his books on jazz have won awards from ASCAP.

I was diagnosed with Alzheimer's [ALZ] in June, 2001. [See my review of Shenk, "The Forgetting Alzheimer's . ." on Amazon for further details.]
Unlike Shenk, this book is not directed to those of us with diagnosed ALZ, but rather to a broader spectrum of those who realize they have a failing memory, and wish to take steps to buttress and strengthen these facilities. I cannot comment directly on the effectiveness of the LOOK, SNAP, & CONNECT exercise for myself as my ALZ is a progressive regressive disease, with no plateau in prospect.

The subjective and objective tests in Chapter 2 were quite informative to me, a retired University Professor with a Mensa IQ, pre-ALZ, with apparent rapid onset at age 70+!
A very small caveat, Small, who developed the protocols for Aricept [Donepezil] waxes too enthusiastic for the amyloid vaccine which has been, perhaps temorarily, withdrawn from its human trial due to unexpected brain inflamations. The Index is mostly useless, perhaps due to an ignorant publisher: although Small mentions Shenk in the text, neither "The Forgetting" nor Shenk are found in the index nor the Bibliography.
I have already recommended "The Memory Bible" to friends who are worried about their deteriorating memory skills, and they report substantial benefits from LOOK, SNAP, AND CONNECT. [For the record, I scored an 88 on the Subjective Evaluation, and 10% on the Objective Measures. Sigh!]

About the Author

J. David Logan, PhD, is Willa Cather Professor of Mathematics at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He has written more than eighty research articles in his areas of research interest, which include mathematical physics, combustion and detonation, hydrogeology, and mathematical biology. Dr. Logan is the author of Applied Mathematics, Third Edition and An Introduction to Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations, Second Edition, both published by Wiley. William R. Wolesensky, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Doane College. Dr. Wolesensky has written numerous journal articles on the use of mathematical modeling techniques in scientific research.

Wish I had this book when I was a teen

This in a great book for anyone at any age. It is designed for teens who are just getting started on their own life, dreams and desires. The rules of life given in this book apply to all of us. I figured out most of the rules on my own but it would have been helpful to have this when I was younger.

Highly Recommend if You're Traveling to Melbourne

I'll be traveling back to Melbourne for vacation and it's been seven or so years since I've been. This travel guide is perfect for helping me plan our vacation as well as providing both small pocket sized maps as part of the book and an attached map as well. I love that I can slip this book in my purse. It contains helpful information like the cost of admission for some places (the aquarium for example) as well as that you want to go to Queen Victoria Market on a Sunday when there are more artisan vendors for souvenir style shopping.

I'm only about 50 pages into the book and already have a list of places I want to visit and might want to visit depending on how much free time and money I can afford to spend. This book is helpful but to the point. Don't expect suggestions on when to visit, travel visas, and other information that you can expect from the full-size books. It was exactly what I needed. Would recommend for tourists.

The Title Grabbed Me!

This was my first Debbie Macomber novel in the Cedar Cove series, and is the first in the Cedar Cove series. I hope to be able to purchase the remaining novels in the series. She's a very good writer, and her characters were varied and all of them quite interesting, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be Charlotte Jefferson with Justine, Judge Olivia Lockhart's, daughter, following a close second. I kept wanting to pinch Justine's head off, but I hung on to the hope that she would make the right choice in the end. And no, I won't spoil it by telling you which choice she made.

Grace Sherman, Olivia's best friend, plays a large part in the storyline. Her relationship with her daughters, Maryellen and Kelly, was interesting. Although the two girls disagreed with the right choice for Grace to make when her husband and their father, Dan, disappeared, they still supported one another.

This novel left me with a satisfied feeling that all was well in Cedar Cove!

And now I have to tell you that the reason I chose this book to read, silly though it may sound. I am fascinated with Lighthouses, and have a pretty large collection of them, including large and small figures, paintings, pictures, and yes, even a Lighthouse Encyclopedia, complete with photos and histories of actual lighthouses from all over the world.

Perfect For Summer Reading!

I generally read the classics or historical books but on a whim decided to read the Cedar Cove Series of books - at least give it a try. Right from the start I was captivated by the folks who inhabit the little seaside area known as Cedar Cove. The characters are very well developed and really get your attention. I was pleased to know that the series continues via at least 11 more books - adding in new characters, dropping some of the old ones while continuing to weave in a lot of the established characters from this first book. Just a note: what order do the books follow? It took me "forever" to finally figure out that the order follows the first number of each address. Unfortunately the books do not tell you that nor do they list the following books in order in the back. Thus the second book has an address beginning with the number "2" - 204 Rosewood Lane. Now you know!

This series is not heavy reading - perfect for a vacation take-along or beach book. You will fly through the pages and be on to the second in the series in no time. They just get more and more interesting! So, all in all - for light fluffy reading with just enough substance I highly recommend the Cedar Cove series.

This is a book with multiple characters and each has their own story. Olivea and daughter, Justine along with her mother Charlotte interact, not always smoothly. Ian and Cecelia suffered a child's death and could not relate to each other in their grief. Olivea denied their divorce so they must wait it out or rediscover their love. Justine is in a long standing relationship with a much older man. Enter Seth who graduated with her. What to do? Olivea finally moves on with her life 15 years after her divorce. Tastefully written. It made me feel like I lived in Cedar Cove.
